Overview
The community that is protected by Pend Oreille County Fire District No.
3 is growing and diverse. The need to continually improve our public education delivery to the
community is ever present.
Fire District No. 3 is now developing
online workshops designed to provide basic fire prevention and life
safety information through the Internet. Click on the links below to view

Chimney Fire Safety Workshop
This workshop will provide you with
information about the causes of a chimney fire, how to prevent a
chimney fire, the rural fire department's response to a chimney
fire, and what to do after a chimney fire. |

Wildfire Workshop
This workshop will provide information
on the
steps you can take to protect your home and family from wildfires.
You will also learn about what you and your neighbors need to do to
avoid causing or fueling a wildfire; how to survive an evacuation;
and what to do when returning home after the fire. |

Medical Emergency Workshop
This workshop will show you what to do
in case of a medical emergency. In addition, you will learn
about family emergency preparedness, accident prevention, when and
how to make a 911 call, and what they should do until help arrives. |

Home Safety Inspection Workshop
This workshop will show you how to
conduct a home safety inspection that will help prevent fire or
accidents in your home and throughout our property. |

Family Emergency Preparedness Guidelines
Pend Oreille County Fire District No. 3 has
free information available at the Diamond Lake Station on disaster
preparedness. We are also available to come out and speak to your
community group on preparedness topics. If you have any questions
or want to seek additional information you can contact Fire District No.

Guide to the Media Player
All of the sound files on the Pend Oreille Fire District No. 3 Web site
have been set up for audio "streaming" through a Free Windows Media Player.
Click on the speaker at the right to determine if this program is
