» THE WORKSHOP

POFD #3 - Home Safety Inspection WorkshopThis was the third in the monthly series of  Community Fire and Health Safety Workshops offered by Pend Oreille Fire District No. 3.  At this workshop the participants learned how to perform a safety inspection of their homes, discovered ways to correct any hazards that they might find, and learned what factors influence the speed of a response from Fire District No. 3 after placing a 9-1-1 fire or medical emergency call.

Workshop activities included an interactive presentation by instructor Leonard Pielli and participant "inspection" tasks.  Take home handouts included a "Home Safety Inspection Check Sheet", a "Family Fire Drill Check List and Floor Plan", and a "Home Safety Inspection Crossword Puzzle".  Workshop participants were invited to fill out a Workshop Evaluation form at the end of the presentation.

Refreshments were provided and served by Fire District No. 3 Auxiliary members Julie Johnson and Penny Tyler.
