You may not want to become a Volunteer Firefighter, but as a Web site sponsor you can contribute to the safety and well-being of your family and neighbors by supporting our Fire Prevention and Life Safety Education effort.

The Pend Oreille Fire District No. 3 Web site is being developed as a community interactive online resource to:

EDUCATE - 75%
- Provide exciting online interactive Fire Prevention and Life Safety Education learning opportunities for members of our community and visitors from across the World Wide Web.
- Offer the children of our community the opportunity to learn about fire prevention and safety through an online Fire Safe Kids Club featuring "GUS" (a gray squirrel who understands safety), the Fire District No. 3 fire prevention and safety mascot.
- Expedite Basic Skills Refresher Training for active duty Firefighters throughout Pend Oreille County, the U.S., and the world. The amount of time available for hands-on experience at station training sessions will be greatly increased by providing online self-study knowledge-base refresher courses that can be completed at home.
COMMUNICATE - 15%
- Provide community members with timely Information about district contacts, local fire danger and other health hazards, public education events, CPR and EMS training courses, and the free life safety products and programs offered by Pend Oreille Fire District No. 3.
CELEBRATE - 10%
- Recognize through Online Photo Albums, the History Library, and News Articles the effort of volunteers and professionals alike who provide fire and emergency medical services to our community.

When you become a Sponsor, your tax deductible donation will make possible the continued development of our Fire Prevention and Life Safety Education Program through the Internet.

The donations that are received will be used to pay the annual Domain Registration and Web Hosting fees that keep the www.pofd3.org Web site on the Internet. As funds become available, software programs will be purchased that will provide a richer more interactive online experience for our Web site visitors. Donated funds may also be used to purchase educational or promotional prizes, which will be awarded to Web site visitors for the successful completion of online Fire Prevention and Life Safety Education activities.
