Media Player Guide

All of the sound files on the Pend Oreille County Fire District No. 3 Web site have been set up for audio "streaming" using a Free Windows Media Player. If you do, the media player will open and you will hear the sound of a fire apparatus engine, horn and siren. If you do not have the media player, click on the link above to download a free copy of the program directly from the Microsoft Windows Media Player download page where you can select the appropriate version for your PC or MAC computer.

When you download the Windows Media Player program it automatically defaults to the "full screen" skin.

We recommend that you switch to the "Miniplayer" skin when viewing the training and public education programs on this Web site. Just right click on the player title bar to access the "skin" selection screen.

After you have installed your Windows Media Player, it will open each time you click on any speaker icon on this Web site.

You will see a pause || symbol while the audio file is "streaming" to your computer. .

The pause symbol will change to a forward arrow ► when you can listen to the entire audio file for that link or page.
