» Fire District No. 3 Service Area

Pend Oreille County Fire District No. 3 protects 100 square miles in the south central part of Pend Oreille County with an additional 178 square miles of mutual aid territory.  We serve the most populated area in Pend Oreille County. These areas include the Diamond Lake Community, the Sacheen Lake Community, and the Deer Valley area. Two major highways that serve northeastern Washington are also included in our response area. Highway 211 is a north-south artery, which serves a large number of commercial vehicles traveling to and from Canada. Highway 2 is a heavily traveled tourist and commercial route from the Spokane area to Northern Idaho. The influx of visitors to our numerous lakes and other recreational sites doubles our population during the summer and fall months.
