Pend Oreille County Fire District No. 3 has been providing Emergency Medical Services training county-wide since 2000. Bloodborne Pathogens Class t December 15, 2007 t Time: 0900 Location: Diamond Lake Station The Bloodborne Pathogens training course is designed meet the Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act training requirements for personnel who might have exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials that may contain bloodborne pathogens as per the rules specified in Occupational Exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens Chapter 296-823 WAC. In this training program, you are going to learn about what bloodborne pathogens are; some of the important/serious diseases they cause and their symptoms; how they are transmitted, or spread; what you can do to prevent contracting these diseases; and what our Exposure Control Plan is here at Pend Oreille County Fire District No. 3. The Bloodborne Pathogens Class will be taught by Diamond Lake Station Captain Alex Arnold.
