FIRE DISTRICT NO. 3 GOALS FOR 2007

Final Report

» Zero Accidents, Zero Injuries

We have had two injuries in the 3rd quarter. We had one accident in the 4th quarter. Hard lessons were learned and we move forward in 2008 with the same goal!

» Heavy Rescue Apparatus Completed by July 2007

HR-31 is in service and very effectively serves the district.

» Complete 3-5 Preplans per Each Station

Overall the goal was met. We need to have a better emphasis on group participation in the future efforts towards this important function of the Fire District.

» Increase State Mobilization Capability to Double Revenue

We did a nice job with State Mobe this year, but will be short of our goal.

» New Engine 31  in Service by November 2007

The new engine is in service and serving us well. Really fun having nice equipment!.

» Apparatus Replacement Plan Defined by End of Year

R33 and M31 are next on the list for replacement. We have secured a grant to assist in the process in 2008.

» Increase Roster by 20% by end of the Year

We have met our goal with the roster now at 34.

» Tender Credit Completed by the End of the Year

WSRB rules for the tender credit test were never finalized in 2007. We move the goal forward and look to complete the test in the new year.

» Install 2 Additional Rural Water Sources (Dry Hydrants or Cisterns)

The North Shore Dry hydrant was installed in May and we were able to locate another in the fall.

» Volunteers Attain Drill Attendance at 80%

Training attendance for the year finished at 83.3%!  An incredible effort was made by all of our volunteers to meet this goal. This goal moves to 2008 as well.

» Complete Water Source Map and Overlay for GIS by May 30 2007

All pressurized hydrants are in the GIS system at the county.  We did not complete the rural water sources and will assign this task in 2008.
